Her single, "Give it to me Right", also "It Kills Me" have been all over the airwaves. She also toured with Kanye West on his European tour in 2008. Oh, and you might have heard our interview with her this past Monday...

ALBUM NEWS:

Melanie Fiona's digital release of her debut album, "The Bridge" just hit #13 on the Top Albums on iTunes! You can order yours for $5.99. The album is also in stores Nov. 10th.

Edwine McFee of Hot Press called the album "an intelligent homage to ‘60s Motown, sampling soul classics while putting her own unique stamp on things."

Jay-Z Takes it Back to School

Good news for Jay-Z fans...

Jay-Z is going back on tour! Though he's stopping at a lot of universities, (the tour kicks off Oct. 9th at Penn State,) the closest he will get to Temple U. is the Wachovia Center.

The last time Jay was in Philly was with the "Heart of the City" tour with Mary J. back in 2008.

• Unfortunately, Brianna (Princess B) decided to transfer schools back to her hometown, and we def. miss her!!!! One day we'll get her to call in, don't worry.
  

• I (baby D) was in Rome for the fall semester studying abroad-- while i was away and missing WHIP (of course), your radio love ASIA held down the show.

• We finally were able to record and upload our most recent show (2/11) and we have it here for you to download and enjoy:) We will have a lot more for you in the future.

ALSO....Mark your calendar for the annual W.H.I.P. Fashion Show!!!!! This spring, it will be on APRIL 10th (Friday)....don't miss it.
